Y'all.
Let me just tell you that Bali is AMAZING!
Indonesia is amazing!
I didnt want to leave.
And I cant wait to go back and explore more.
We stayed at the Puri Santrain in Sanur, Bali.
Sanur is know for being more laid back with calm and beautiful beaches.
(For those that don't know Bali is an island in Indonesia)
Our adventure started with an overnight flight from Shenzhen to Bangkok. We had a 5hr layover in Bangkok before continuing on to Bali. We arrived at 11:15am on January 25th, 2017. The hotel had a car waiting to pick us up and bring us to the property.
We were welcomed with the most delicious 'welcome drinks' while we checked in.
The moment after we checked in and entered our room we were in beach/relax mode. We didn't do a whole lot except for eat, sleep, drink and relax by the beach and pools.
We went to a traditional Balinese night with dancers! It was amazing!
New dress for a night out on the town.
Mirror selfies before going out on our last night.
Beach Bums
Soaking up every last minute before we left.
Cooking Class:
Lauren and I decided to take the cooking class our resort offered one morning. We had an amazing time visiting the market and having the Chef teach us to cook some local dishes.
Adventures:
We did have some adventures during our stay too.
We visited with our Regional Managers and their kids that were also vacationing in Bali.
We visited the Uluwatu Temple and the Monkey garden.
We went snorkeling at Nusa Pineda (another island 45min away by boat)
And we did some shopping in the area by the resort.
Luke & Lei's Villa (our regional managers):
Our Managers Villa- Resort was called "The Edge"
Look at the view!
Just enjoying the view. I could have stayed here forever.
But it was off to the Uluwatu Temple
Uluwatu:
The views at the Temple were amazing.
Its not everyday you get to pet a monkey.
Snorkeling adventure:
we rented a GoPro and were able to take some under water pictures while snorkeling.
That unfocused looking blob is a jelly fish!
Look how pretty that starfish is!
On the boat heading back.. all smiles despite being extremely seasick.
Why yes you do see Dramamine in this picture.
Why yes I did get epically seasick. I still had a wonderful time though.
no words to describe this beauty.
One of my favorite things we did was just hang out in the lounge chairs each night and just listen to the waves crash on the beach... They say that "salt water cures all" and I'd definitely have to agree.
