Margaret's Adventure Awaits...: Let's play catch up!

Good day everybody!

Welcome back to my blog!! I know its been awhile.. okay okay its been 6 months 😬😝

Butttttttt the purpose of this particular blog post is to play catch up on the months since I arrived back in Surabaya.

While I hope everybody enjoys reading my posts and seeing the pictures, this blog is really for me to have a digital record of what I did/saw. Most just have short captions, but there are a few longer "stories" to help me remember. Soooooo, if you take the time to read it, I hope you enjoy!

With that said- here we go!

August 2022

Ijen hike/adventure- If you saw my instagram/facebook post you'll know that this hike was HARD!! I will freely admit that I am super out of shape and could not make it to the top with out paying the locals to push/pull me to the top! It was worth EVERY penny I paid!

The trip to Ijen itself was an adventure! We left Surabaya around 6pm, and our driver drove us though the night to Banyuwangi. We arrived to the summit around 2am and started hiking up. It did not start out steep, but after about 35min I felt like I was legitimately CLIMBING up this mountain it was so steep. At least I wasn't the only person huffing and puffing. As mentioned I paid some of the local guys to take their "taxi"- think of a wheelbarrow with 2 guys pulling and 1 guy pushing.... The views (as pictured) were so worth it!!

Officially moved out of Ngagel House!

Jon, Woozles, Smithers and I officially moved out of Ngagel house. The end of the era for Jon- he lived there for 8+ years!

October 2022

The main highlight of October was my trip to Flores Island and Komodo National park. You can read all about it in its own post- HERE!

November 2022

Solo weekend getaway to Bali- If you saw my instagram/facebook you know I took weekend trip to Nusa Dua in Bali! I used a voucher I won for a free night stay and the resort worked with me to give a major discount for a second night! I was LIVING the life of luxury for 2 nights!! I had a private villa with my own pool, outdoor shower, jacuzzi tub and included minibar! It was fabulous and I'm beyond thankful I won the free night stay!
