Ni Hao y'all!
Sorry that it has been so long since my last post!
As usual life has been an adventure and I was simply just enjoying the ride too much to sit down and create a new post!
(Edit: this post was written back on October 28th. I have now finished with work and have been binge watching Game of Thrones, packing and spending time with friends. And it took me a bit to get all the photos I wanted on to my computer and uploaded here. Please enjoy!)
My Friends and I have had a great time exploring Shenzhen and Hong Kong. We've spent way to much money on yummy food in Hong Kong and bought more clothes than we will ever need! haha
At the End of September my Mom, Brother and future sister in-law came to Asia! We met up in Bangkok, Thailand for an amazing 12 day adventure!
Here is a brief recap of our adventures!
Bangkok
Mom, William and Hannah met Lauren and I at customs in the BKK airport. From the airport we found our hotel shuttle and went to the hotel. We stayed at the Montien Riverside Hotel and it was AMAZING! Our family friend Kitty came to meet us for a quick lunch and then a little exploring of the city! That night we went on a riverboat cruise for dinner and a little show! It was really fun, but we were all exhausted- Mom fell asleep at the table! haha
Our second day in BKK we were true tourists! We went to the Grand Palace, saw the Emerald Buddha, took the river taxi, and ate lots of yummy local food. Kitty was with us for most of the day and it was great to be with her!
Chaing Mai
We stayed at the Hotel M right by the East gate of the old city. It was a perfect location! We explored around, saw some amazing ruins, ate some delicious food, even did some shopping. The next morning we woke up early for our Elephant Nature Park adventure! We did the over night guest option, and it was fantastic! We got up close and personal with the elephants. We got to feed and bathe the elephants and just enjoy the elephants. The Nature Park also rescued stray cats and dogs so there were lost of animals around! After our overnight adventure we went back to the Hotel M in Chaing Mai. We showered and went out exploring again! We lucked out that our hotel was right at the start of the "Sunday Market" street! The main streets in the "old city" make a Plus (+) and were fully lined with artists and vendors! We are talking about anything and everything you could think of that you may want. Beautiful art and clothes, delicious food, etc.. We enjoyed wondering around the market for awhile. The next morning we were off to Phuket!
We were A LOT closer to the elephants than it looks like.

Lauren & I have a love/hate relationship hahaha
Our overnight group!!
Phuket
We spent the majority of our trip here. And let me just say that it was heaven! We stayed at the Marriott's Phuket Vacation Club that was right on the beach! the resort had 3 pools, several restaurants, and gorgeous beach fronts!
We leisured and feasted like royalty for the majority of the time in Phuket, and we all agreed that it was just what the doctor ordered! Our favorite restaurant was actually a little bar called JJ's. It was a little hole in the wall place that somebody told us about. It was cheap but would give any 5star place a run for their money... So if you are ever in the the northern part of Phuket check out JJ's!!
Our big adventure in Phuket was taking a day trip to the PhiPhi Islands!
We boarded the boat around 9am and didn't return to the marina until around 5pm. For anybody that knows me (or read my Bali blog) you know I usually get sea sick! Well I can PROUDLY say that I did NOT (I repeat 'did not') get seasick at all on this trip! 🤗
We visited the famous Maya Beach, a few other beaches that I forgot the names of, we snorkeled, and we saw monkey island! PhiPhi and Phuket were AMAZING!
All in all our trip was amazing! I'm so glad that we were able to take this trip! It was a trip of a lifetime!
Up next is my last few days in China!
I finish work on November 4th!! Whoo!
I will be waiting a week or so for my friend Lauren to finish on the 17th and then we will be off on our Europe adventure! 😍
Before Lauren and I leave China I will do one last post on my time in China. Once I am home in the States I will do a post all about our Europe Adventure. After that I'm not sure what will happen with this blog. 😨 I do hope you have enjoyed following along with me for the past 15 months!
Until next time!
Adios for now,
Margaret❤️
